BVU is now part of the organizing consortium for Bioinformatics Workshop Fiesta (BWF) 2020/22 under the leadership of Dr. Asif Khan. The consortium comprises of the Association for Medical and Bio-Informatics, Singapore (AMBIS), Asia-Pacific BioInformatics Network (APBioNET), Perdana University, Malaysia and now Bezmialem Vakıf University, which are supported by National Supercomputing Centre, Singapore and Alterquo, Malaysia. BWF is a joint effort that aims to grow bioinformatics skills and competencies in the community. The series offers a plethora of 16 workshops of choice, with a proposed pathway.
