Under the coordination of our Faculty of Dentistry students, the II. Bezmialem National Dentistry Student Workshop was held. Our University’s Faculty of Dentistry students and other universities participated intensively in the workshop, which was held in the form of a hybrid workshop at our university's Erich Frank Conference Hall between November 06 – 07. The opening speech of the workshop was delivered by the Faculty of Dentistry Dean Prof. Doğan Dolmaz. “We are happy to hold our student workshop, which we had actually planned to hold last year but postponed for a year due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. I would like to thank our fellow students and academic and administrative staff who contributed to the process, and I hope it will be a productive workshop."
Prof. Erdem Kılıç carried out a presentation entitled “Digital Planning in Implantology” in the first session of the workshop, which started after the opening speeches. In the last session before the lunch break, Prof. Atilla Arıncı shared important information about healthcare law, particularly about the consent forms, to the students in a presentation titled "Patients, Physicians and Law”. In the last session of the first day of the workshop, Assoc. Prof.. Dr. Salih Doğan carried out an exemplary presentation on general anesthesia, titled “General Anesthesia in Pedodontics.” In the afternoon sessions, Assoc. Prof.. Dr. Tuğba Türk discussed the world's innovations in the field of endodontics in her presentation titled "Making a Difference with Holistic Endodontics". In the last session of the first day of the workshop, Assoc. Prof.. Dr. Salih Doğan made a exemplary presentation on general anesthesia with his presentation titled "General Anesthesia in Pedodontics".The first day of the workshop was over successfully.
In the first session of the second day of the workshop, Dt. Efe Çelebi addressed our students with his presentation titled "Comparison of Private Clinics at Home and Abroad". In the second session, Prof. Gökmen Kurt, an academician from the Faculty of Dentistry of our University, shared their views and experiences on the transparent plaque treatment method with the presentation "Digital Orthodontics: Transparent Plaque Treatments". In the third session, Lecturer Member Dr. Abdullah Özel gave his presentation with the title "Current Approaches in Maxillofacial Practices". In the afternoon sessions, Dr. Esra Bozbay completed the workshop with her presentations on "Current Aesthetic Approaches, "Face and Smile Design" and Prof. Arzu Aykor with "A Holistic View on Aesthetic Dentistry Practices". After the workshop on the second day, the 2nd. Bezmialem National Dentistry Student Workshop ended after a group photo shoot.
