Bezmiâlem Vakıf University has achieved another significant milestone in certifying its educational quality. Within the framework of the accreditation process for associate degree programs, implemented for the first time by the Vocational Education Assessment and Accreditation Association (MEDEK), the university's Vocational School programs in First and Emergency Aid, Pathology Laboratory Techniques, and Medical Laboratory Techniques have been granted accreditation. This historic achievement ensures compliance with national education standards and enhances the competitive advantage of our graduates in the sector.
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sarıbıyık, Rector of Sakarya University of Applied Sciences and Chairman of the MEDEK Board of Directors, visited Bezmiâlem Vakıf University to present the accreditation certificates. During the meeting, attended by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu, and General Secretary Dr. Zeynep Görmezoğlu, Prof. Dr. Sarıbıyık emphasized the critical role of such accreditation processes in improving educational quality nationwide. He also congratulated Bezmiâlem Vakıf University for successfully obtaining accreditation for all the programs it applied for.
MEDEK Delegation Visit and Evaluation Process
The MEDEK delegation conducted an on-site visit to Bezmiâlem Vakıf University from October 14-16, 2024. Under the leadership of Team Chair Assoc. Prof. Dr. Feride Yılmaz Taşkın, the visit covered the Sultangazi İlhan Varank Campus, Vatan Campus, and the University Hospital, where classrooms, laboratories, research facilities, and social amenities were meticulously evaluated. Additionally, one-on-one interviews with students provided valuable feedback on educational and practical training processes.
Following this comprehensive assessment, the university's First and Emergency Aid, Pathology Laboratory Techniques, and Medical Laboratory Techniques programs successfully obtained MEDEK accreditation until the end of 2028, marking a remarkable achievement.
