Associate Professor Dr. Furkan Kırık, in the Clinical Sciences Program at Harvard 2/7/2025
​We are proud to announce that Assoc. Prof. Dr. Furkan Kırık, a faculty member from our Department of Ophthalmology, has been accepted into the prestigious "Clinical Science Scholars Program" (CSS) for the 2024-2025 academic year, jointly organized by Harvard Medical School and Semmelweis University. This remarkable achievement highlights his dedication to advancing clinical research and medical education.
Thanks to the academic collaboration between Bezmialem Vakıf University and Semmelweis University, Prof. Dr. Pınar Soysal was also selected for this esteemed program in the previous term and achieved significant success.

About the Harvard Clinical Science Scholars Program
Launched in 2023 at Semmelweis University, the Harvard Medical School Clinical Science Scholars Program (CSS) has gained significant recognition and interest. The program has been renewed for the 2024-2025 term to continue providing young professionals with a unique educational opportunity in clinical research.
Over the course of nine months, participants will receive in-depth training in clinical research methodology, data analysis, research ethics, and clinical trials. Additionally, the program aims to equip scholars with skills in grant writing and clinical team management.
The final workshop and closing event of the program will take place in March 2025 at Harvard Medical School in Boston.
