Assoc. Prof. Dr. Furkan Kırık's Success in the Clinical Science Program at Harvard 3/24/2025

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Furkan Kırık, a faculty member of the Department of Ophthalmology, achieved significant success in the Clinical Science Scholars Program, conducted in collaboration between Harvard Medical School and Semmelweis University.

The closing event of the program, which began on July 15, 2024, and ended on March 20, 2025, was held at Harvard Medical School in Boston.

During the 9-month program, Dr. Kırık received comprehensive training in clinical sciences. The program included participation in three separate workshops across two different countries, over 100 hours of courses, more than 10 exams, 3 team presentations, and a project, providing an enriched learning experience.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Furkan Kırık successfully completed his 9-month training and earned his certificate.

Prof. Dr. Pınar Soysal from the Department of Internal Medicine and Geriatrics at Bezmialem Vakıf University also participated in this prestigious program in 2024 and achieved remarkable success.

 

About the Harvard Clinical Science Program

Launched for the first time at Semmelweis University in 2023 and attracting significant interest, the Harvard Medical School Clinical Science Scholars Program (CSS) continues to offer young professionals a unique educational opportunity in clinical research for the 2024-2025 period.

The 9-month program provides participants with in-depth training in clinical research methodology, data analysis, research ethics, and clinical trials. Additionally, it aims to equip participants with skills in grant writing and managing clinical teams.
