Our University's Experience with COVID-19 was Issued in the AAHCI Autumn'20 Bull 10/23/2020

​​​Association of Academic Health Centers International (AAHCI) published its Fall 2020 Bulletin as a COVID-19 Special Issue. The bulletin, which includes an article by our Rector Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu, describing the proactive fight against COVID-19 and the measures taken at our University and our hospital, was shared with AAHCI members and followers.

In the article, which includes the information shared by our Rector Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu, it was stated that the developments in China, where the first cases of COVID-19 were observed, were closely followed by our university from the very beginning. It was stated that the Pandemic Board, which includes academicians from different departments, was established in our hospital.

After the appearance of the first cases in Turkey, the reorganization of some areas in our hospital, the determination of a triage area where all patients were transferred in the outer building, the questioning of the contact history of all patients and the admission and treatment processes that were carried out, were explained.

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu also discussed our university education, where the necessary transformation was achieved during the pandemic. Stating that the educational activities in our faculties are carried out in the form of online education, our Rector also shared information about simulation videos, training portals, and online exam processes.
