Academicians from Johns Hopkins University, one of the most important health universities in the USA and the world, visited our university. Between April 15 and 19, Johns Hopkins University Faculty of Medicine Vice Dean Prof. Roy Charles Ziegelstein, Faculty of Medicine Faculty Member Prof. Ahmet Höke, School of Nursing Vice Dean Prof. Nancy Reynolds, and Faculty of Medicine Internal Medicine Department Dr. Zishan Sıddıqui visited our administrators. In addition to teaching at our university, Johns Hopkins University academicians also met with our Rector Prof. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu. Our Rector and Johns Hopkins University academicians exchanged ideas about the innovations our university will make in the field of health. A symposium was held about the Nursing Education Program!
Bezmialem Vakıf University Nursing Department Continuing Education Center coordinated by Nursing Department Head Prof. Türkinaz Aştı, faculty member Prof. Hülya Kaya, faculty members Lecturer Elif Koyuncuoğlu and Lecturer Yasemin Kıyak was on the organizing committee of the “A Way to Evaluate the Success of Nursing Education Programs: Graduation Exam Symposium" held on April 18, 2024. The symposium, which was attended by many speakers who are experts in their fields, addressed the graduation exam in nursing education and international examples. Our Rector Prof. Rümeyza Kazancıoğu, one of the opening speakers of the symposium, thanked the academicians from Johns Hopkins University who attended the symposium and emphasized the importance of the nursing profession. Prof. Nancy Reynolds, who was a speaker at the symposium held on April 18, touched on the practices at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing and stated, “The mission of the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing is to improve the health of individuals and diverse communities locally and globally through leadership and excellence in nursing education, research, practice and service." The symposium, where national and international experiences were shared, hosted Assoc. Participation in Neurology Seminar from Johns Hopkins University
A Neurology Seminar was held at Bezmialem Vakıf University (BVU), which continues its collaboration with Johns Hopkins University. In the seminar held on April 19, Prof. Ahmet Höke, a lecturer at Johns Hopkins University, gave a speech on “Genetics and New Drug Candidates in Neuropathic Pain" and “Toxic Neuropathies." BVU Advisory Faculty Member Prof. Gülşen Akman provided critical information on “Side Effects of Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors on the Central Nervous System." Many scientists and students studying in the field of health attended the seminar.
