Assoc. Prof. Şeref Gül who works in the Biotechnology Department of our university's Life Sciences and Biotechnology Institute (BILSAB) won 2 awards. Dr. Gül was deemed worthy of an award in the field of Molecular Biology in the Natural Sciences category of the 2023 Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) Outstanding Young Scientist (GEBİP) Awards, and also participated as a co-researcher in “Increasing Life Span in p53 Knockout Mice by Accelerating the Half-Life of Cryptochrome 1". The study titled “Discovery of a Small Molecule That Extends" was awarded in the Science category of the Sedat Simavi Awards, given for the 47th time this year by the Turkish Journalists Association.
Bilim ve Teknoloji Bakanlığı tarafından desteklenen üniversitemizin Yaşam Bilimleri ve Biyoteknoloji Enstitüsü'nde Biyoteknoloji Bölümü'nde çalışan Doç. Dr. Şeref Gül, iki ödül kazandı. Dr. Gül, 2023 Türkiye Bilimler Akademisi (TÜBA) Üstün Genç Bilim İnsanı (GEBİP) Ödülleri'nin Doğal Bilimler kategorisinde Moleküler Biyoloji alanında ödüle layık görüldü ve aynı zamanda "Increasing Life Span in p53 Knockout Mice by Accelerating the Half-Life of Cryptochrome 1" adlı çalışmada ortak araştırmacı olarak yer aldı. Türkiye Gazeteciler Cemiyeti tarafından bu yıl 47. kez düzenlenen Sedat Simavi Ödülleri'nin Bilim kategorisinde "Discovery of a Small Molecule That Extends" başlıklı çalışma ödülüne layık görüldü.
