Overview:
The Neuro lab at BILSAB, directed by Dr. Mustafa Aziz Hatiboglu, has a wide array of interests in glioma and brain metastasis. Specifically, the lab is interested in glioma cancer stem cells and investigates their relation with tumor microenvironment, and their immune evasion mechanisms. They are also seeking possible bio-marker candidates via liquid biopsy (cellular free DNA, exosomes, and miRNAs), which can be used for diagnosis and surveillance. In addition, Neuro lab has projects on mouse glioma models, tumor microbiome, chemo- and radio-resistance mechanisms, glioma pathogenesis, combinational therapies, and radiogenomics.
