There are many reasons why the business world should prefer the graduates of Bezmiâlem Vakif University, which trains the health professionals of the future by drawing its strength from its deep-rooted health history of nearly two centuries. Each of our academic units develops unique educational approaches that go beyond the current needs of the relevant profession. Equipped with the knowledge, skills and competence required by the age, our graduates start their professional careers and make a difference by adding value to the institutions they work for.
“Our Faculty of Dentistry starts with foreign language education and continues with theoretical courses on basic and clinical sciences and preclinical laboratory studies. After the clinical observation process that follows, clinical training begins with the assistance of expert trainers. Throughout the whole education process, our students are considered as a part of Bezmiâlem Vakif University and have the opportunity to work in our clinics equipped with modern, quality equipment. In addition, the fact that its location is easily accessible and that it has been providing health services for more than a hundred years is a great advantage of our faculty. This makes our clinics to be among the first choices of patients who require special care or urgent treatment, because our university, which has a fully equipped hospital, makes it possible to perform dental treatments under general anesthesia. For this reason, the variety of cases that our students encounter and treat during their education is very high.
All students graduating from the faculties of dentistry, as dentists, have the competence of diagnosis and treatment within their professional boundaries. Thanks to the practical training they receive in our clinics equipped with modern and high-quality equipment, our alumni graduate with familiarity with current approaches such as “laser applications, CADCAM technology, and clear aligner treatments". In addition, they have the opportunity to follow scientific and technological developments at a universal level with the "professional foreign language education" they receive and thus apply current treatment approaches throughout their professional life.

“The training program of the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation department has been prepared in accordance with national and international standards. Our students operate in cooperation with different disciplines of the field of health in the education and research laboratories of our department and in various departments of our hospitals. In addition, our students take theoretical and practical lessons from physiotherapist instructors who are specialized in their fields of education and research laboratories. Making practices with instructors specialized in different fields enables students to gain experience in different fields of physiotherapy while they are still at school, and facilitates the transition from university life to working life. Conferences, seminars, panels, and symposiums organized within the department bring our students together with professors working in different branches of physiotherapy, enabling them to increase their professional competence and closely follow the developments in the field. Our graduates, who were raised with these principles, who consider ethical principles, who can work with a multidisciplinary team approach, who have a sense of responsibility, and who can plan and implement physiotherapy and rehabilitation approaches in a solution-oriented way, will take their places in the society as soldiers of the health sector.

“Our Health Services Vocational School students perform their professions as health technicians with the skills and competencies they have. Our students receive their clinical training (skills training) with internships, professional practice courses, clinical and laboratory practice courses, on the job, face to face with real patients and in a medical team. At this point, our hospitals and polyclinics affiliated with our university also create an educational environment for our students. In addition to all compulsory education activities, our students can do extra practice by coming to the hospital on a voluntary basis. Even in the most difficult conditions during the days when the pandemic was intense, our students continued to train their skills in our hospitals. Especially since 2020, among the new graduate groups, Bezmiâlem SHMYO graduates differ from other graduate groups with their high level of skill acquisition. Our students graduate with an experience equivalent to almost 1-1.5 years of work experience. In the health sector, employers are generally looking for technicians who can keep up with the intense working tempo, and are prone to teamwork, sharing, and responsible. In a significant part of their education, our college students comprehend the intra-clinical relations within the real medical team, see the expectations, and gain and develop competencies by taking responsibilities appropriate to their student status. Being educated in a well-established health institution with its history, gaining the culture of foundation strengthens their personal aspects and allows them to grow up as people-oriented individuals who care about patient satisfaction, which the sector seeks.
We invite private and public health institutions to contact KAGEM so that they can evaluate employment opportunities with our graduates.
