Patient Services Summit II Successfully Held at Bezmialem 12/3/2025

​Patient Services Summit II, organized by Bezmialem Vakıf University Hospitals with the aim of strengthening patient satisfaction, enhancing communication processes, and further advancing our holistic service model, was successfully held with a high level of participation.


An Innovative Perspective with the Theme “Connect with a Smile, Integrate and Empower"
This year's summit was carried out under the theme “Connect with a smile, integrate and empower," which reinforces our institutional culture and deepens our patient-centered approach. Across all sessions, comprehensive evaluations were conducted on improving patient experience, enhancing communication quality, and developing innovative service models.


The Summit Opened with a Speech by Our Deputy Chief Physician

The program commenced with opening remarks delivered by Dr. Muhammed Tunç, Assistant Chief Physician of Bezmialem Vakıf University Hospital. Dr. Tunç addressed the purpose and scope of the summit, offering significant insights into quality-enhancing practices, communication competencies, and process management in patient services.


A Human-Centered Approach to Healthcare Emphasized by Rector Prof. Dr. Adem Akçakaya

Following the opening, our Rector Prof. Dr. Adem Akçakaya delivered his remarks, highlighting the importance of placing people at the center of healthcare services. Recalling Bezmialem's more than two-century-long healthcare heritage, he emphasized that patient experience and satisfaction are among the core values of our institution.

The summit brought together our Rector Prof. Dr. Adem Akçakaya, Central Hospital Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Alparslan Mayadağlı, Dragos Hospital Chief Physician Lecturer Dr. Osman Cemil Akdemir, Assistant Chief Physician Dr. Muhammed Tunç, Human Resources Director Özge Ünsal, and many of our colleagues, reflecting a strong sense of institutional unity.


Insightful Presentations Focused on Communication and Awareness

Throughout the program, valuable contributions were made to support the advancement of patient services.

Communication expert Şükrü Kara, in his presentation titled “The Invisible Language of Communication," discussed the decisive impact of effective communication, empathy, and body language on patient satisfaction.

Following this, Psychologist Begüm Demir introduced mindfulness and breathing awareness practices, offering participants meaningful insights. These exercises added a distinctive dimension to the summit, particularly in terms of stress management and sustaining service quality.
