Our university participated in the TASSA (Turkish-American Scientists and Scholars Association) 2016 Conference that is held on April 2 - 3 in Chicago, United States. In the conference where many reputable universities and American institutes have participated, our university was represented by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ziya Doymaz, Assistant Prof. Dr. Nur Özten Kandaş and Assistant Prof. Dr. Zehra Durmuş with her poster presentation. This year the theme of the conference was 'Science and Society' and Turkish scientist Aziz Sancar who won the Nobel Chemistry Award this year was the guest of honor. Minister of Science, Industry and Technology, Fikri Işık, who participated to the event, highlighted ‘the benefits of international cooperation and accumulation of knowledge for Turkey’ in his speech.
