Science Workshop was organized at the Deanship Conference Hall. Our Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu, Vice Chancellors Prof. Dr. Ethem Güneren and Prof. Dr. İbrahim Tuncay and many faculty members and students attended the event.
Our Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu gave the opening speech of the workshop and said, ‘I would like to thank everyone who is here with us this morning. In the last academic year, we focused on how we can establish a standard in education. This year, we want to focus on being scientific and decided to organize this workshop in order to improve our University’s ability of being scientific within the next 4-5 years.’
Noting that they are striving to create a vision at Bezmialem Vakif University, our Chancellor said, ‘In our efforts to focus on being scientific, we have also started striving for creating a Bezmialem vision. Our targets are always being scientific and contributing to science. We have shared with you our publications and we have followed them. We thanked you for your contribution and tried to motivate you further. We will share the outcome of this workshop with you in a report. Thank you for your participation and interest.’
After our chancellor, Assistant Prof. Dr. Fatih Küçükdurmaz gave a presentation titled ‘Place of BVU in Science World,’ our Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ethem Güneren gave a presentation titled ‘Scientific Productivity at BVU,’ Prof. Dr. Erhan Ayşan gave a presentation titled ‘Solution Offers, how shall we do it?’ Finally, at the Interactive Session organized by our Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. İbrahim Tuncay, our faculty members shared their requests and wishes with the University management.
