Our comittee which consisted of our rector Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu, General Secretary Zeynep Gökçen and our Medical School studends carried out a series of visits to the UAE - Dubai. During these visits, which took place between 23 – 27 January 2017, collaborations between universities were discussed.
During the first day of the visit the Neuro Spinal Hospital of the JCI Standards was visited and negotiations were carried out with the hospitals Business Director Dana Msaddi and Hospital Medical Director Prof. Abdul Karim Msaddi. On the second day the Sharjah area and Sharjah University Medical Faculty was visited. Meetings with the Medical Facultys Dean Prof. Qutayba Hamid and Financial and Administrative Affairs Director Maher Al Hafez were carried out, a 3 hour CPR training session for our students was completed and its documents were handed. On the 3rd day at the American Hospital Dubai the whole hospital was toured with the Head of Cardiology department Prof. Khaldoun Taha in lead, and our students carried out observations in different departments, and the visit came to an end after the meeting carried our with Head of Nephrology field and John Hopkins graduate Prof. Fahed Kouli. On the last day meetings with manager Maya Heou of the Dubai Autism Center took place and the students were divided into groups and recieved several trainings.
