Our rector Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu, assistant rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Tuncay, General Secretary Zeynep Gökçen, Health Research & Appication Center Head Physician Doç. Dr. Fadlullah Aksoy and Corporate Communications Director Şehlem Ertekin signed collaboration protocols while visiting Kosovo during 10-12 March 2017. While maintaining a 3 year collaboration in the health services field via the Turkish parliamentarians in the Kosovo parliament,, this time our University united with the Kosovan Universities and expanded its collaboration in the health field as well. We broke grounds in the health field in Kosovo.
On the first day of the visit , under the leadership of our rector Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu, Bezmialem Vakıf University committees visited parliamentary deputy speaker and Turkish parliamentarian Fikrim Damka and Turkish parliamentarian Müferra Şinik on Office call during the visit to the Kosovan Republic Parliament. The parliamentarians expressed their satisfaction during the collaboration process and on the other hand met over views on new decisions in the health field. Following up, our university committee visited the Pristine University rectorate. During the visit carried out to Priştine University Rector Prof. Dr. Marjan Dema , Assistant rector Doç. Dr. Afrim Hoti and Assistant rector Doç. Dr. Teuta A. Pustina Krasniqi were present. After the meetings the collaboration protocol was signed between the two universities. Soon after our University committee met with Kosovo Minister of Health Assistant Dr. Sc. İzet Sadiku, they then visited The Republic of Kosovo's Government Public Administration Minister Mr. Mahir Yağcılar on office call. The minister commentated on how Bezmialem Vakıf University is a trademark in Kosovo and emphasized on how valuable their health services are. Afterwards our University committee toured the Cardiology Departments at the Pristine Hospital. Following up, after getting together with Medical Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Suzana Manxhuka-Kerliu Dea and Manager of Priştine University Dentistry Center Dr. Sci. Shefqet I. Mrasori they chatted with the students during the clinic visits. At the end of the day our committee got together with The Turkish Republic Pristine embassador Kıvılcım Kılıç and Kılıç expressed his great satisfaction on the service within the treatment process that BezmialemVakıf University offered the arriving patients.
As for the second day of the visit our University committee, with our rector Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu in the lead, got together with Prizren Univiersity Rector Prof. Dr. Rame Vataj and after mutual negotiations decided to carry out a collaboration between the two universities and signed the protocol. After being accepted by the Prizren Hospital General Director Dr.sci. Afrim Q. Avdaj'ı our university committee was given information on the hospital.
Our University committee which carried out a series of official visits and signing collaborations finally met with and exchanged information with Turkey Prizren Head Consulate Selen Evcit ve Kosovo Prizren Cultural and Aid Foundation Chairman of the executive board Gülen Aksu Türker.
