We need to work hard in order to figure out how to carry our university into our region and into the world. Inspite of being a young university that was set up in 2010, we have left behind many other universities in the medicine and health sciences URAP success ratings and ranked 15th. This success has honored us. In this regard I thank our rector Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu, our academic staff, our dear General Secretary Zeynep Gökçen, our administrative staff and all our personnel".
Our rector Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu who carried out the events opening speech thanked everyone who attended the iftar programme. Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu, "As well as being the month where we must think of the poor, the waif and strays, the month of Ramadan also carries great relevance to us who follow in the path of Bezmialem Valide Sultan. At such a month filled with sprituality it must be our priority to help the poor, to hold their hand and to do all this for the sake of Allah. The spirit of the month of Ramadan emphasizes on being compassionate and merciful, family love, unity in society, unity and solidarity. It is of great significance that we protect the values of this month and hand them down to the next generations for our moral peace and for our coexistence as a nation."
The event ended with a concert from Meydan Music Band.
