Our university participated in the "2018 National Lung Health Congress".Head of the department of Chest Diseases Doç. Dr. Mehmet Bayram and his team along with our students attended the congress in which the diagnosis and treatment innovations were discussed and experiences, skills were shared through presentations.
At the congress held in Belek, Antalya, our academicians and students were entitled to receive awards for their scientific studies. Head of the department of Chest Diseases Doç. Dr. Mehmet Bayram was awarded first prize in the best oral presentation due to his work named " Kastamonu : A New Province in Anatolia where Environmental Asbestos was Found ", Emine Parlak from the 5th grade students of the Faculty of Medicine, was awarded second prize in the best poster category due to her work named "OSA & Depression".
At the congress, intern Melike Bilgin, who works at the hospital, carried out her presentation with the study titled "The Prevelance of EGFR, ALK, ROS-1 Mutations and Affecting Factors in Lung Adenocarcinoma in Turkish Population".
Faculty of Medicine 5th grade student Betul Kınık's study; "Complementary and Alternative Medicine Information of doctors in Turkey, Perspectives and Applications" was presented as a poster at the congress.
At the 2018 National Lung Health Congress our Rector Prof. Dr. Rumeyza Kazancıoğlu presented congratulatory documents to our students and academicians who have won prizes and achievements in different categories and wished them continuous success.
