Hosted by our University Faculty of Medicine, the March 14 Medicine Day event was held at the Erich Frank Conference Hall, where academics, students and professionals from the health sector came together to emphasize the importance of medicine and share hopeful messages about the future.
Before the event, we named our Multidisciplinary Laboratory “Prof. İsmail Meral Multidisciplinary Laboratory" in order to commemorate our teacher; our University Faculty of Medicine Physiology Department Head Prof. İsmail Meral with love and mercy and to immortalize his name.
Following the ceremony and opening speeches, a special academic presentation was made by the Faculty of Medicine. The presentation, which emphasized the importance of Medicine Day, created an atmosphere where successes in the field of health were celebrated.
Following the program, congratulatory certificates were presented to faculty members who were appointed and promoted and to faculty members who achieved academic success this year. In addition, special plaques were given to faculty members who served their institutions for more than 10 years and their efforts were appreciated.
Our Rector Prof. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu, who made the opening speech, emphasized that as the Bezmialem family, they are proud to be the pioneers of progress in the field of medicine, protecting the health of society and improving the quality of life of people. Since our establishment, we have strived to meet the health needs of humanity and have achieved many successes in this process. However, it should be known that the medical profession is not a profession that only requires knowledge and skills. She also stated that it requires love for humanity, patience and dedication.
“In addition to coming together to celebrate this day, we also have the opportunity to unite and show solidarity against the challenges facing the medical community. Working together, we must strive for a better healthcare system and a healthier society. As we celebrate Medicine Day, I would like to acknowledge and express our gratitude for your devoted work. You are one of humanity's most valuable assets, healthcare professionals, and I thank you for everything you do".
