We organized the MSCA European Researchers' Night event to promote the sharing of scientific discoveries and to increase interest in the research world.
At our university, the MSCA European Researchers' Night was held to share scientific work and encourage engagement with research. Organized by our Technology Transfer Office, this event provided our researchers with the opportunity to present their scientific studies and projects. Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu, participated with a video presentation, while our Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bilgin, Secretary General Dr. Zeynep Görmezoğlu, along with administrators, academics, and students, showed great interest.
In her opening speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Kazancıoğlu stated, “This event is not only an opportunity for our researchers to showcase their projects but also a significant platform to explore the impact of science on our daily lives. Science sheds light on health, technology, environmental issues, and many other areas, guiding both individuals and communities. Today, we have the chance to see and understand these interactions more closely."
Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Bilgin, in his opening remarks, noted, “Events aimed at sharing scientific work and increasing interest in the scientific community have been held in Europe for many years under the name of European Researchers' Night. As Bezmialem, we are celebrating our second event this year. Our goal is to disseminate scientific research, foster interdisciplinary dialogue, promote knowledge exchange, and enhance collaboration."
During the event, Prof. Dr. Yasemin Akkoyunlu from the Department of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology provided an informative seminar for daycare providers on how to protect children from infectious diseases and hygiene practices. Additionally, hands-on experiments and activities were conducted for middle school students in our Dentistry and Pharmacy faculties to engage them with scientific research. The workshops held for students from Fatih Exam College attracted significant interest.
After the event, participants enjoyed various activities such as music performances, mini golf, table tennis, darts, and badminton, creating unforgettable moments.
