Following EAIE Conference in Gothenburg (9–12 September 2025)
We are pleased to announce a new international partnership between Bezmialem Vakıf University (Istanbul, Turkey) and Rowan University (Glassboro, New Jersey, USA), initiated during productive meetings at the EAIE Annual Conference in Gothenburg on 9–12 September 2025.
Representatives from both institutions; President of Bezmialem Vakif University Prof. Adem Akcakaya and Vice- President of Global Affairs of Rowan University Prof. Morris Kalliny and Associate Provost of International Education of Rowan University Mr. Gokhan Alkanat met throughout the conference to discuss collaborative opportunities and agreed to develop a multi-faceted cooperation package that will expand research, mobility and educational options for students and faculty on both sides. The MOU has been signed on 26 September 2025 dually.
Key aims of the collaboration
• Strengthen research links in health sciences, public health and medical education.
• Create sustainable student and staff mobility pathways (semester exchanges, short-term study, summer internships and clinical observerships where regulatory approvals permit).
• Support faculty collaboration through visiting scholar exchanges and collaborative publications.
