Breast Cancer Awareness Event at Bezmialem 10/10/2025

​At Bezmialem Vakıf University Main Hospital, within the scope of the Social Responsibility Project Course led by Prof. Dr. Yeliz Emine Ersoy from the Department of General Surgery, first-year students of the Faculty of Medicine and members of the “Colors of Health Nursing Club" organized a “Breast Cancer Awareness Event."


Bezmialem Vakıf University Rector, Prof. Dr. Adem Akçakaya, also attended the event to show his support. Prof. Dr. Akçakaya visited the event area, meeting with students, hospital staff, and participants. He observed this meaningful activity—carried out with a sense of social awareness—and emphasized that raising students through community-oriented projects is one of the key pillars of Bezmialem Vakıf University's educational vision.


The event also featured Prof. Dr. Alper Can from the Department of Medical Oncology and Prof. Dr. Şeyma Yıldız from the Department of Radiology. The physicians provided information to students and participants about the importance of early diagnosis in breast cancer.

During the event, physicians informed patients and visitors about the importance of early diagnosis in breast cancer. Participants received examinations and engaged in informative conversations highlighting that early detection saves lives.
