General Information

The Nursing Department has undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The course of undergraduate degree program requires four years of curriculum proceed by receiving intense medical english courses that coincide with specific nursing subjects to prepare them to become critical thinkers, researchers, highly qualified practitioners, and to continue to pursue technologies and theories available in the field.

Nurses have professional roles and responsibilities which include individual’s, family’s and community’s health protection and health promotion, application of treatment and care in the case of illness, developing and protecting safe and healthy environment, education, consultation, research, administration, quality-development, collaboration, advocacy, and communication. A nurse uses nursing theories while performing his/her professional roles and uses nursing models in the application of nursing process

The program will prepare graduate nurses with the knowledge and skills to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered, high-quality care, and to effectively lead interdisciplinary teams.

The content and weight for the theoretical and practical curriculum was prepared in accordance with the requirements and criteria established by YOKE, the Turkish Nursing Association, and the International Council of Nursing. A major goal is the creation of student and faculty Exchange programs in order to gain cultural, clinical, and research skills that improve patient care and professional practice for the different populations that will be served within the Turkish Health Care System.
