2016-2017 Erasmus+ Fall Semester Student Education Mobility Application Deadline 25.04.2016

2016-2017 Erasmus+ Fall Semester Education Mobility Application Deadlines
Dear Students and Dear Erasmus+ Coordinators,
For students interested in the Erasmus+ learning mobility, the application dates are between 02 May 2016 - 17 May 2016.
What is the Erasmus+ Learning Mobility?
The Erasmus+ Education Mobility, is students of institutions of higher institution spending one or two terms of their education within an academic year at a contracted institution of higher education in a European Union country. For the mobility to occur, your department must have an Erasmus+ Bilateral Agreement with an institute of higher education with an Erasmus+ University Charter (EUC) in a European Country with the relevant department. Click for a list of contracted institutions of higher education with EUC.
Who Can Benefit From The Erasmus+ Learning Mobility?
Full time associate degree, undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students at an institute of higher education can benefit from the Erasmus+ learning mobility. Minimum academic average required to benefit from the program:
-Undergraduate students having a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.20/4.00
-Post graduate students having a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.50/4.00
Foreign Language Exam Procedures Required For Erasmus+ Program
When selecting an Erasmus+ learning mobility student, 50% of the grade point average and 50% of the foreign language score is taken, and according to the weighted average the number of students allowed by the quota according to the Bilateral Agreement become Erasmus+ candidate students. Students applying to benefit from the program are required to enter the foreign language exams at the places and dates announced in the application period.
The student may select a university whose language of instruction is English or whose language of instruction is another language (eg. Italian, German etc.). What is meant with language of instruction is not the language of instruction routinely applied to their own students, but the language of instruction to be applied with Erasmus+ students by the institution of higher education in question. For example, the language of instruction at an institution of higher education in Austria may be German, however methods such as opening English courses for Erasmus+ students, providing English learning-teaching material or grading on English presentations may be used. A student going to a University offering education in a language other than English must provide a certificate meeting the foreign language criteria of the University in question.
An English exam is offered to Erasmus+ students at the Bezmialem Foundation University Foreign Languages Department.
How Long Does The Erasmus+ Learning Mobility Last?
Erasmus+ learning mobility may run from at least 3 full months to at most 12 full months. The exchange duration is determined by the Erasmus+ Bilateral Agreement of the department/faculty and the existing grant amounts at our university. Mobility periods of less than 3 full months are not included in the scope of Erasmus+ and are not granted.
Erasmus+ Learning Mobility Grants
Erasmus+ grant is provided by the National Agency via the European Commission. Erasmus+ grants can be allocated to the number of students as allowed by the budget allocated to our University by the National Agency for the 2016-2017 academic year.
