The first medical based student, Ahmet Serdar Mutluer, who was accepted to the European Organization for Nuclear Research, CERN, is successfully resuming his studies. Ahmet Serdar Mutluer, who is pursuing successful studies at Hadron Treatment Center which CERN has established upon cancer treatment, has recieved an invitation by ENLIGHT's (European Network Light Ion Therapy) founding president to this association.
In this project which consists of professors and scientists, medical based student Mutluer has also managed to be the first Turkish student to have been accepted. Our student who has given important explanations on the matter stated; "My aim here is to initiate the set up of a proton therapy centered medium range collider in Turkey and whilst connected to this project in CERN, to transform our country into a science center in the Middle East."
Mutluer who talked about another one of his projects that will take shape in September, said , "I have been invited as founding president to the summit taking place in Holland on 15-17 september, where many experts worldwide regarding the fields of particle physics , computer, life sciences etc, are attending. If we can carry out the necessary arrangements I plan to attend this summit as well."
Our Medical Faculty student Ahmet Serdar Mutluer who spoke of our University in the projects he has carried out at CERN , stated ; "I have had a chance to meet the team who have generated the artificial Neuron at the IBM Headquarters. I have also told them about the Watson project which our University has made a breakthrough on. I introduced our University as the single and unrivaled university in Turkey that is open to proceeding in science and proceeds in that path from the multidisciplinary field. They were very pleased and they invited me over to the head quarters in Zurich by means of introducing their laboratory and works.
