At John Hopkins University, one of USA's most respected universities, the Scientific Committee, which is carried out in scope of our universitys curriculum development programme, continues on in order to raise doctors who are able to think scientifically and carry out scientific studies,.
Our rector Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu, Faculty of Medicine Dean Prof. Dr. Dilek Sema Arıcı, Head of Scientific Committee Prof. Dr. Meliha Meriç Koç and Scientific Committee member academicians attended the trainings that were held between 27-29 November, with 3 academicians joining in from John Hopkins University.
At the opening speech, our rector Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu stated, "We have gathered here for the Scientific Committee. In this module, along with members of the Bezmialem University Scientific Committee, my colleagues who are the members of the Johns Hopkins University Scientific Committee , will help you to understand how your students will evaluate the data".
The world is now turning to evidence-based medicine. Medical training pushes students into research. In this committee we are teaching how students should do research. We are on the right path. The scientific committee is a part of the basis for this.
Committee Supervizor Professor Dr. Meliha Meriç Koç gave information to our students about what they will face during the construction phase of their module assignments and their projects and on which path they should follow.
