As part of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's official visit to Qatar, made at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, a protocol on international academic cooperation was signed between Bezmialem Vakif University and Doha University of Science and Technology.
During the visit held in Doha on October 22, 2025, Türkiye's Ambassador to Doha Dr. M. Mustafa Göksu, Rector of Bezmialem Vakif University Prof. Dr. Adem Akçakaya, Rector of Doha University of Science and Technology Dr. Salem Al-Naemi, and Rector of Ankara University Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar came together.
The meeting, conducted within the framework of the official contacts led by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, aims to strengthen collaborations between Türkiye and Qatar in the fields of education and science.
Strengthening Scientific Knowledge Exchange and Academic Mobility
Through the protocol, Bezmialem Vakif University and Doha University of Science and Technology will engage in joint initiatives focusing on scientific knowledge exchange, collaborative research projects, and student–faculty exchange programs.
The academic programs to be developed under this cooperation are expected to make a significant contribution to enhancing international standards in education and increasing scientific productivity.
