University of Sharjah Health Sciences (UAE) Assistant Rector and Medical Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Qutayba Hamid made a return visit to our University. Assistant Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Tuncay, Assistant Rector Prof. Dr. Ethem Güneren, General Secretary Zeynep Gökçen, Health Research And Application Center Medical Director Prof. Dr. Fadlullah Aksoy, Medical Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Kazım Karaaslan, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ziya Doymaz of the Medical Microbiology Dept., Pulmonology Main Dept. Chief V. Doç. Dr. Mehmet Bayram and Medical Faculty Student Ahmet Serdar Mutluer joined the visit which took place in Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu's Office. The future collaboration plans between the two universities were discussed during the visit. Prof. Dr. Qutayba Hamid was presented with a gift following the visit.
Prof. Dr. Qutayba Hamid achieved his MD title through the University of Mosul and his Doctorate from the London University. He has also participated in the Meakins-Christie laboratories at the McGill University. Prof. Dr. Qutayba Hamid's laboratories and researches lay an important educational ground for the Montreal respiratory specialists and continue to attract grad students and post doctoral students from all over the world.
