The 6th International Bezmialem Orthopedics Meetings were Held 12/15/2021

Traditional “Bezmialem Orthopedics Days” will be held online on December 11th, 2022 in the “Where Are We Today in Primary Arthroplasty?” theme. In the program consisting of three main sessions, more than 700 orthopedic specialists, 10 of whom are international, from 22 faculties and 30 different countries, and more than 1400 participants attended.​​

 
Our R​​ector Prof. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu and Vice Rector and Orthopedics and Traumatology Department Lecturer Prof.  Ibrahim Tuncay made the opening speeches at the beginning of the program. Our Rector Prof. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu stated, “I wish the meeting to be fruitful for everyone involved. I hope to be able to hold this meeting face to face next year, and I would like to thank everyone who contributed.” Our Vice Rector Prof.  Ibrahim Tuncay quoted, “We will be holding the “6th; Welcome to the "International Bezmiâlem Orthopedics Meetings". I hope it will be a fruitful and successful program. I would like to thank all the participants in advance for their contributions.”
 
Prof. Sercan Akpınar and Prof. Ata Can Atalar moderated the "Shoulder Session", the first session of the program. The first speech of the session was “Who is the Best Candidate for Primary Anatomical Total Shoulder Arthroplasty?” by Prof. Guiseppe Porcellini, and “When Should RSA Be Done in Primary Glenohumeral Osteoarthritis?” by our University Orthopedics and Traumatology Department Head Prof. Dr. Kerem Bilsel.  The first session was successfully completed with the speech titled “Stemless Arthroplasty: A New Champion?” by Prof. Cladio Rosso, Prof. Mehmet Demirhan with “How Can We Prevent Complications and Problem Rsa” and Prof. Philippe Collin as the last speaker with “Back to the Future: Psi, Mixed Virtual Reality, Robot”. After the session, all speakers answered questions directed from the moderators and from online platforms.
 
Prof. Daniel Kendoff and Prof. Remzi Tözün moderated the "Hip Session", the second session of the program. The first speech of the session was "Total Hip Arthroplasty" and Prof. Javad Parvizi and Vice Rector Prof. Ibrahim Tuncay made a presentation titled "Robotic Assisted THA Through DAA". In the third speech of the session, Prof. Emre Toğrul's presentation titled "Young Adults with Hip Dysplasia", Dr. Akos Zahar "Primary THA in Fracture Cases" and finally Prof. Murat Bozkurt "THA in Difficult Situations" completed the second session with success. After the session, all speakers answered questions from the moderators and from online platforms.
Prof. Nurzat Elmalı and Prof. Fahri Erdoğan moderated the "Knee Session", the third and last session of the program. Prof. Robert Hube “Difficult Primary Total Knee Arthroplasty”, Assoc. Prof.. Dr. Fatih Yıldız “Difficult Primary TKA Through Robot”, Prof. Bülent Atilla with “What is Kinematics in THA?” , Dr. Samih Tarabichi with “TKA in unstable knee”, Elvire Servien with “Can Robot Re-Boost UKA's Popularity?”,  Prof. Nicolaas C. Budhiparama with “New Technology at TKR: Is the Latest, Always the Biggest?” After the session, all speakers answered questions directed from the moderators and from online platforms.
 
After the successful completion of the last session, our Vice Rector Prof. Ibrahim Tuncay delivered a closing speech. Prof. Ibrahim Tuncay stated, “It has been a very productive program. I would like to thank all our speakers who shared their valuable information with our participants and everyone who contributed to the coordination of the program.”
