Bezmialem Vakif University has carried out significant engagements in Sweden with the aim of strengthening international academic collaborations and playing an active role in the global health arena.
The university delegation, comprising Chairman of the Board of Trustees Osman Develioğlu, Rector Prof. Dr. Adem Akçakaya, Deputy Chief Physician Prof. Dr. İbrahim Aydoğdu, and Director of the International Relations Office Sevsen Kılıç, visited the Karolinska Institute and Hospital, one of the world's leading healthcare institutions. During the visit, meetings were held with Chief Physician Prof. Henrik Smed and Head of the ENT Department Prof. Lars Cardell, where potential collaborations in joint research, academic projects, and healthcare services were discussed.
The delegation also attended the European Association for International Education (EAIE) Conference held in Gothenburg, Sweden. On the first day of the conference, productive meetings laid the groundwork for new collaborations. The Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Stockholm, Yönet Can Tezel, and President of the Turkish National Agency, İlker Astarcı, visited Bezmialem Vakif University's booth. With the support of the Turkish National Agency, preliminary meetings were held with various institutions, establishing valuable connections that will contribute to the university's international advancement.
Through these visits and international engagements, Bezmialem Vakif University continues to enhance scientific productivity, pioneer innovative projects in healthcare, and provide its students and academics with new opportunities on a global scale.
