Scientists from our university have been included in the “World's Most Influential Scientists 2025" list prepared by Stanford University.
As in every year, scientists from Bezmialem Vakıf University have once again been included in the “World's Most Influential Scientists 2025" list prepared by Stanford University. Stanford University ranked academics conducting research and publishing articles worldwide through a scientific impact index created based on criteria such as the number and citation rates of scientific articles in 2024.
Prof. Dr. Gülaçtı Topçu, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Bezmialem Vakıf University, ranked 86,715th in the world and 203rd in Türkiye in the Career-Long Impact category, while ranking 182,825th in the world and 1,125th in Türkiye in the Annual Impact category.
Prof. Dr. Murat Kartal, Director of the Phytotherapy Training, Practice and Research Center of the university, ranked 139,483rd in the world and 422nd in Türkiye in the Career-Long Impact category, and 157,853rd in the world and 1,020th in Türkiye in the Annual Impact category.
Prof. Dr. Orhan Özturan, Head of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at the Faculty of Medicine, ranked 200,181st in the world and 940th in Türkiye in the Career-Long Impact category.
From the Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Pınar Soysal ranked 62,529th in the world and 352nd in Türkiye in the Annual Impact category.
From the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Nephrology, Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu was included in the “World's Most Influential Scientists 2025" list, ranking 68,153rd in the world and 393rd in Türkiye in the Annual Impact category.
From the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Belma Zengin ranked 196,278th in the world and 1,223rd in Türkiye in the Annual Impact category.
Prof. Dr. Abdurrahim Koçyiğit, Head of the Department of Medical Biochemistry at the Faculty of Medicine, ranked 205,443rd in the world and 1,286th in Türkiye in the Annual Impact category.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Halil Şenol, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, ranked 236,132nd in the world and 1,562nd in Türkiye in the Annual Impact category.

Evaluating the inclusion of eight academicians from Bezmialem Vakıf University in international rankings, Rector Prof. Dr. Adem Akçakaya stated:
