The European Federation for Orthopedics and Traumatology (EFORT), which organizes the scientific activities and education programmes in the Orthopedics and Traumatology field in Europe, selected Turkey as the center for the Mobile Fellowship Fall 2017 Programme (1 - 7 October 2017). The next stop was Istanbul University Medical Faculty Orthopedics and Traumatology main department for the 10 senior assistants who carried out the first phase of the programme that was carried out at Bezmialem Vakıf University. The senior assistants, who will travel to Ankara with the Cadaver educational organization at Acıbadem Hospital, within the programme, will proceed with their educational activities at the Hacettepe University Medical Faculty Orthopedics and Traumatology main department and Gülhane Military Medical Academy (GATA) Orthopedics and Traumatology main department.
The Fellowship Programme, which was attended by 10 senior assistants from 9 countries, first began at Bezmialem Vakıf University on the morning of the 2nd of October. 10 trainees got the opportunity to increase their knowledge and experiences at the programme which was carried out by our universities Head of Orthopedics and Traumatology department Prof. Dr. İbrahim Tuncay and his team, by observing 4 specific surgeries and experiences where current orthopedic issues were transferred. Our teachers answered the questions of the expert candidates during and after the surgery, within the scope of the programme.
