Our university carried out its 2017 – 2018 Academic Year Opening Ceremony. BVU Chairman of the board of trustees Ahmet Akça, our rector Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu, assistant rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Tuncay, assistant rector Prof. Dr. Orhan Özturan, Rektor consultant Prof. Dr. Erdal Tekarslan, General Secretary Zeynep Gökçen, Medical Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Dilek Sema Arıcı, Faculty of Pharmacy dean Prof. Dr. Gülaçtı Topçu, Health Sciences Faculty dean Prof. Dr. Ahmet Belce, Dentistry Dean Prof. Dr. Alper Alkan, Health research and application center Head Physician Doç. Dr. Fadlullah Aksoy, our academicians, executives, health personnel and our students attended the new year opening ceremony which was held at the University Deanship Conference Hall.
Chairman of the board of trustees Ahmet Akça, who commemorated the founders of the foundation with mercy, at his opening speech , "My valuable teachers, academic management, administrative management, my dear students ; I greet each and every one of you with love and respect. As you all know, our university has been established in 2010. I have been under this moral roof since 2010. We have set out so that our university can first be a reference establishment to our country , then to our region and finally to the whole world. I watched our rector's presentation with excitement, we have been involved in great activities. This way I have observed that we have been approaching our target step by step. This year we have had the honor of completing our 7 years by graduating our medical faculty. Our university has been set on a strong foundation. I wish success to all of our academic and administrative management, academicians companions, our staff and our dear students who have contributed to this process and thank each and every one of them.
It is very honoring for this establishement, which has served in the health field for 172 years, to harbor their own raised students as postgraduate ,doctorate students, or as health soldiers. Bezmialem is such a place. This situation makes us very happy as the trustees. It is very important for us to raise people who can serve the world of health. As our rector teacher has stated , scientific studies, publishings, scientific activities, prizes are all services that will carry our establishment into the future. Our rector has announced the URAP results and I have been very pleased. I wish for the year 2017-2018 to be beneficient and plenteous for our university."
Our rector Prof. Dr. Kazancıoğlu who began her speech by congratulating the new educational year of the educational community, stated , "We are so much more happier when new students join us. We are sorrowful for our students who have left but we have the justified pride of knowing that they are good health care workers. This year our numbers have exceeded 3 thousands. I hope that we will have a good year with new thrills. I advise our new students to appreciate the value of being at university. Life is not all about lessons, they must not forget about their social lives. Thye must be a part of life. Endeavour in contacting people. Especially since our field is of health they must reach out to help all people in need. This way they will see for themselves how happy they will become. We say ; "Bezmialem will be good for you, and you will be good for everyone" . Our rector carried out a presentation on the academic activities of our university in the academic year 2017-2018 at her opening speech.
