Also 1 out of 7 people in Turkey have a case of kidney failure. Looking at the ratio of our women, 18 percent of them have kidney disease. The reason for this is due to several factors. Besides obesity, diabetes and being overweight , some special cases regarding women cause this ratio to increase. There is a situation that is related to kidney diseases that is caused by pregnancy. Consequently pregnancy is a physiological state  If it is not noticed or does not emerge during pregnancy, due to more effort the kidneys have to endure, and their displacement and enlargement,  the kidneys go through a lot of distress. Thus  in the same way we see more urinary tract infection in women. "

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu , who states that the cause of the increase in the number of kidney disease from day to day is obesity and accordingly the increase of diabetes. Prof. Dr. Rumeyza Kazancıoğlu continued; "The increase in kidney disease is caused by the weight gain of the world's population. The increase in diseases from weight gain, and the increase in diabetes from day to day, especially in our country, causes us to encounter more patients with kidney problems. However, this is preventable. If you control your diabetes and your blood pressure, you can get rid of last-stage kidney disease."

"Healthy women will carry health to the future with healthy kidneys. In this sense, I celebrate the women's day for all of our women", stated our Rector, who conveyed her message of celebration due to International Womens Day.
