The university organized a conference themed "The Epic of 15th July" in scope of July 15th Democracy Victory Commemoration Programme.
Security Political Expert Mete Yarar and Teoman Kanbur , the July 15 th veteran who was treated in our university hospital, was invited as a speaker to the conference where our Assistant Rector Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Tuncay, Rector Consultant Dr. Erdal Tekarslan, General Secretary Zeynep Gökçen, Faculty of Health Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Ahmet Belce, our executives, academicians and students attended.
The July 15 th Veteran Teoman Kanbur, who carried out the first speech at the conference, expressed his experiences in the treacherous coup attempt while thanking Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Tuncay and all members of Bezmialem Vakıf University Hospital for their support during his treatment process.
Security Political Expert Mete Yarar who began his speech by expressing his mercy to our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and unity of our country and wishing healthy long lives for our veterans, referred to the epic resistance of the Turkish people in the treacherous coup attempt and stated that July 15th has ignited the independence in our souls.
The conference concluded with gift presentations following the speakers' responses to the participants questions.
