White Coat Ceremony was organized for the 2018-2019 Faculty of Pharmacy 1st year students.
Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu, Assistant Rectors Prof. Dr. Orhan Özturan and Prof. Dr. İbrahim Tuncay, Rector Consultant Prof. Dr. Erdal Tekarslan, General Secretary Zeynep Gökçen, Faculty of Pharmacy Dean Prof. Dr. Gülaçtı Topçu, our executives, academicians, parents and students participated in the ceremony which took place at the Erich Frank Conference Hall.
The white coat ceremony, which was held with great interest and participation began with the opening speeches of our Rector Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu ; "The pharmaceutical sector has begun to receive more of the value it deserves with the developments it has experienced in recent years.
I believe that the pharmaceutical profession will be carried to even higher places with our valuable students who are raised by Bezmialem. Today, we continue our studies in order to graduate our students as well-equipped pharmacists by providing the opportunity to practice in our faculty and in our numerous clinics. You, our students, will grow up in Bezmialem as a Pharmacist with the undergraduate education you will receive and practice in our numerous clinics. More importantly, you will travel in the spiritual light of our founder, Bezmialem Valide Sultan."
As for our Faculty of Pharmacy Dean Prof. Dr. Gülaçtı Topçu, she stated ;
"Dear students, from now on, you will be the soldiers who work as health professionals, pharmacists to protect people's most valuable asset ; their health. First of all, every faculty member in our universities and hospitals acting with the principle of health will do their best to raise you as a good individual to your country and nation by helping you with this notion. With the white coat you wear today you will be opening a new page in your life. We believe that you will be able to carry the white coat, which you will wear soon, in a well deserved manner both in your student life and your future career."
Following the opening speeches and presentations, the faculty members dressed our students in their white aprons. The ceremony ended after a photo shoot.
