White Coat Ceremony was organized for the 2018-2019 Faculty of Medicine 1st year students.
Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu, Assistant Rectors Prof. Dr. Orhan Özturan and Prof. Dr. İbrahim Tuncay, Rector Consultant Prof. Dr. Erdal Tekarslan, General Secretary Zeynep Gökçen, Faculty of Medicine Dean Prof. Dr. Dilek Sema Arıcı, our executives, academicians, parents and students participated in the ceremony which took place at the Erich Frank Conference Hall.
The white coat ceremony, which was held with great interest and participation began with the opening speeches of our Rector Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu ; "My dear students, of course, you will have many difficulties while performing an important duty within such a sacred profession that allows people to hold on to life. But each of you will strive for the welfare of our society on the basis of a healthy communication as a healthcare professional who will make a difference with your potential and contribute to the development of our country in the field of health.
You are the seedlings of today, the pledge for the future. We have full faith that you will carry your white coats, which you will be wearing soon, in a well deserved manner both in your student life and career. Today, a new page in your life opens with the white coats you wear. I hope that in your next life, just like our coats, a white life awaits you. I wish you success in your education life."
As for our Faculty of Medicine Dean Prof. Dr. Dilek Sema Arıcı , she stated; "Education is an important compass that will continue throughout our lives and will always guide us. Some of us receive quality education, and some of us reach certain points on the path of life through experience. But there is a step in this adventure that plays an important role in shaping our future; university education. By choosing Bezmialem Vakif University Faculty of Medicine today, you and our valuable students, who are members of the Bezmialem Family, can be sure that you have taken a big step in the path of education. I congratulate each of you for taking this step. "
Following the opening speeches and presentations, the faculty members dressed our students in their white aprons. The ceremony ended after a photo shoot.
