The “Health Sciences and Technology Summit" was held at Bezmialem Vakıf University with the participation of Deputy Minister of Health Assoc. Dr. Şuayıp Birinci and Baykar Board Chairman Selçuk Bayraktar. The summit, where the concepts of health, artificial intelligence and biotechnology were examined, was met with intense participation.

Prof. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu, who made the opening speech at the summit, drew attention to the fact that science and technology are undergoing a significant transformation in the healthcare sector today. “This rapid transformation is one of the most important intersections that determine the future of the health sector throughout history. The areas that stand out at this intersection are artificial intelligence, biotechnology, genetics and digital health, and these areas cause radical changes in diagnosis, treatment and patient care processes. It is of vital importance that we are prepared and willing to these changes as institutions and individuals in order to keep up with the developments".
We must use technology in the best way
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees Osman Develioğlu said, “We must definitely keep up with technology" and continued: “If you leave humanity alone, they will go to the sun, they have advanced technology this much. Turkey is in effective places in the field of technology but has missed some opportunities. Especially in the field of aviation, when pilot and engineer Vecihi Hürkuş returned from Germany in the 1920s, he got stuck in the oligarchic bureaucracy, they left him aside while he was going to make a plane, Nuri Demirağ was one of the 5 people who made planes in the world. Unfortunately, he was also left aside. We can give many examples of these. When we look at our young generation, they have an interest and talent in technology, and this makes us happy. We will be an authority in what we do so that our belief in ourselves and our country will increase. This is also valid for the field of health. Technology must be used in the best way in health."
Deputy Minister of Health Assoc. Şuayıp Birinci made a presentation titled “Managing the Future of Health". Birinci, who conveyed the developments in health, stated, “An effective and gradual referral chain has been discussed in Turkey, but it has not been implemented to date. If this is implemented, there will be a serious decrease in healthcare applications. In the last 20 years, there has been a 35 percent increase in the number of hospitals, a 64 percent increase in the number of beds, and a 2100 percent increase."
TB2 is the most exported unmanned aerial vehicle
Baykar, who drew attention to the fact that Baykar has developed unmanned aerial vehicles that will be the world's number 1 in its class in 15 years, said, “Bayraktar TB2 has become the unmanned aerial vehicle that has been exported to the most countries in the world, providing the highest performance at the lowest cost." Bayraktar, mentioning that they developed all projects within Baykar with their own resources, noted the following: "Such a technology company is not only not available in Turkey and the world, but also in the technology world, you can only see this in companies that make inventions. It is something that cannot be seen even in world technology monopolies. Bayraktar KIZILELMA made its first flight approximately 1 year before we promised our nation in 2022. KIZIELMA represents the place it has gone in aviation all over the world. We will start flying production prototypes and versions in approximately 1-2 months. We will have produced 3 KIZILELMAs this year and will start mass production in higher numbers in the coming years. Final integration studies are currently ongoing."
