Within the scope of the Twinnet 2026 Project, conducted by the Pharma Aktüel Club operating within our faculty and coordinated by the European Pharmaceutical Students Association (EPSA), students from Poland were hosted in Istanbul between April 29 and May 3, 2026. This visit, constituting the second leg of the program, provided students with a rich program in terms of academic, cultural, and social content. Arriving in Istanbul on the first day, the visiting students participated in a visit to İLMER (Istanbul Pharmaceutical Research Center), a tour of the Phytotherapy Center, a faculty tour, introductory presentations, and a microscopic examination activity. As part of the social activities, the visiting students took a comprehensive city tour to experience Istanbul's historical and cultural fabric: İstiklal Street and Taksim Square, Karaköy and Eminönü, Dolmabahçe Palace, Istanbul Maritime Museum, a tour of the Historical Peninsula, and the Ortaköy district.
The Twinnet 2026 Program, which brought together students from different cultures for academic and social interaction, not only provided participants with international experience but also made a significant contribution to the international promotion of our faculty.
The continuation and development of such international programs strengthens our faculty's position within the European network of pharmacy students and helps our students gain a global perspective.
