Bezmialem Vakıf University Faculty of Pharmacy is a dynamic and innovative educational institution that aims to train the pharmacists of the future by combining a long-standing tradition of healthcare with a contemporary understanding of science. With an educational approach centered on human health, our faculty aims to train pharmacists who are scientifically productive, committed to ethical values, research-oriented, and possess a strong sense of social responsibility.
Established on April 24, 2010, within Bezmialem Vakıf University, our faculty quickly took its place among the prestigious pharmacy faculties of our country with its academic infrastructure, research capacity, and student-centered approach. Our faculty graduated its first students in 2015; our graduates have successfully taken up positions in many different fields such as academia, the pharmaceutical industry, clinical pharmacy, public sector, and private pharmacy.
In line with the multifaceted nature of pharmacy education, which extends from basic sciences to clinical practice, our students are offered a strong theoretical foundation alongside an application and research-oriented learning environment. With its modern laboratory infrastructure, up-to-date educational technologies, and qualified academic staff, our faculty best prepares its students for the rapidly changing world of healthcare.
The Drug Application and Research Center, operating within our faculty and university, provides a significant research infrastructure for drug research, pharmaceutical development processes, and interdisciplinary scientific projects. The studies conducted through this center strengthen collaborations between academia, industry, and the healthcare sector, offering advanced research opportunities to our students and researchers. Similarly, our second center, the Phytotherapy Education, Application, and Research Center, established with the approval of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), contributes significantly to naturally derived treatment approaches by combining traditional knowledge with scientific research in phytotherapy studies. Academic studies in the field of medicinal and aromatic plants are supported by research projects, postgraduate education activities, and scientific publications.
Our faculty also embraces the concept of quality and continuous improvement in pharmacy education; it attaches importance to national accreditation processes. Clinical practices, research projects, student clubs, scientific events, and social responsibility activities are actively supported to enhance our students' professional competencies.
The successes achieved in the preparation processes for the Pharmacy Specialization Examination and the strong academic and professional performance of our graduates are among the important indicators of the quality of education in our faculty. Our primary priority is to train our students to become individuals equipped with analytical thinking, research skills, ethical responsibility, and lifelong learning abilities.
