Vision
In order to contribute to the development of effective, efficient and high quality health policies in our country, it is important to contribute to balanced and adequate nutrition and healthy living, health protection and treatment of diseases by diet. For this purpose, menu planning and implementation will allow to improve the quality of life for all as part of supervised diets, and services aimed at the training of human resources is essential for managing them.
Education and Training Strategy
Bezmiâlem Vakıf University Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, take students who have taken the "Higher Education Student Selection and Placement System" examinations with the MF-3 score. At the undergraduate level, this training lasts 4 years and the department graduates are given the title of 'Dietician'. Students also have the opportunity to carry out their clinical practice at the University Hospital in modern laboratories within the University.
The aim of the department is to contribute to the improvement of the health level of the society in our country by taking care of the human power and research and development activities that are aimed at protecting and developing the health, providing the settlement of sufficient and balanced nutrition in the society in terms of the treatment of diseases and centering on the person and community health.
Job opportunities
Dietitians; (mother and child health centers, children's and elderly nursing homes, community health, athletic health centers, etc.) in hospitals (public and private hospitals, polyclinics, health centers, dialysis units, special diet policlinics etc.) ), at home health services (Ministry of Health, municipalities), in public nutrition institutions, in food and pharmaceutical industry. They can also provide special nutrition and dietary counseling and athlete counseling at various centers based on social and individual happiness. At the visual and written level, they can take part in the preparation and execution of Radio / TV Nutrition programs, with oral or written scientific support and a priori understanding. Educational and research institutions are also able to serve the academic field. It is also possible for dieticians to undertake postgraduate academic studies and careers by participating in master's and doctoral programs in Turkey and abroad.
