Prof. Mehmet Z. Doymaz, PhD (ABMM) was the first scientist to join BILSAB, bringing unmatched expertise in clinical microbiology and molecular diagnostics. A cornerstone of the institute’s foundation, he played a key role in shaping its research infrastructure. His work in pathogen detection and antimicrobial resistance has not only advanced diagnostics in Turkey but also positioned BILSAB on the international stage for infectious disease research.
