What is Endodontics?
There is a part of the tooth that appears in the kuron of the mouth, and a part of the root that remains in the jawbone. The teeth consist of several layers. The outermost layer; It is the enamel layer seen over the gum line. Below the enamel layer is dentin. Beneath the hard enamel and dentine tissue is the pulp tissue, which is a soft connective tissue and forms the living part of the tooth. Pulp texture is also known as "tooth nerve" among the people. The pulp tissue provides the vitality and nutrition of the teeth. During the growth and development of a tooth, the task of the pulp is to feed it. Pain can occur when pulp tissue damage occurs. Endodontics is the dentist who deals with problems that have progressed to tooth pulp and treats them.
After completing the five-year dental training, the practitioners who completed their practical and theoretical education in the department of endodontics and completed their expertise in this department are called endodontists.

Why Should Canal Treatment be Taken?
When the pulp is damaged and inflamed, it will die because it is not capable of self-healing. Bacteria after tooth decay or impact cause inflammation when they reach the pulp. In such a case, during chewing, there may be hypersensitivity and pain during cold-warm, and a pain that can not be removed with painkillers and starts spontaneously.
It is important to consult a physician when you have pain or swelling. Drugs that are used without a referral, especially antibiotics, may temporarily reduce your pain, but treatment is essential because the underlying cause of the pain is damage to the pulp tissue. In addition, antibiotics used without doctor's advice can cause resistance development and make treatment more difficult.
Pulp infection continues to spread to the surrounding jawbone, causing bone destruction in this region. Teeth that have not been treated for a long time can go as far as shooting.
