The workshop titled "Orpheus Virtual Workshop on PhD Supervision in Biomedicine and Health Sciences" was held online on 1st December 2023, Friday
After the opening speech of our Rector Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu, Director Prof. Dr. Semra Özçelik made an introductory presentation of the Institute. Under the moderation of Prof. Dr. Binnur Temel, Vice Director of the Institute, Prof. Dr. Michael Mulvany, Prof. Dr. Gül Güner Akdoğan, Prof. Dr. Janet Carton and Prof. Dr. Rudolf Schubert gave various conferences on doctoral education processes. Informative speeches from the ORPHEUS perspective were made about how counseling education should be.
After each lecture, questions related to the topic were discussed and case studies were analyzed in workshops organized in groups. In addition to the supervisors, students also took part in the groups and actively contributed to the process.
The groups were moderated by our Institute Director Prof. Dr. Semra Özçelik, our Deputy Institute Directors Prof. Dr. Binnur Temel and Prof. Dr. Ümit Uğurlu. The event lasted approximately 8 hours and ended at 18:00 with closing speeches.
