In the field of higher education, competence refers to what a person who has successfully completed a higher education degree knows, can do, and is capable of. The Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework (TYYÇ) is a system structured around efforts to increase transparency, recognition, and mobility in Turkish higher education institutions. It aligns with the goals of the Lisbon Strategy published by the European Union in 2000 and the Bologna Process goals that Turkey joined in 2001.
Our students, by focusing on learning outcomes through the TYYÇ - Program Qualifications Matrix, can examine the knowledge, skills, and competencies they will gain in the categories of their program. They can also explore their course-based achievements through the Course-Program Qualifications Matrix, which links the contributions of each course to the program. Additionally, through the Information on Undergraduate Degree Programs, they can access summary information on admission, registration, graduation requirements, assessment and evaluation, transition to higher degrees, and employment opportunities.
The TYYÇ Catalogue helps our students:
- Make informed choices about their academic programs and courses.
- Know in advance which competencies they will have once they successfully complete these courses.
- Plan their academic activities outside the curriculum.
- Reduce potential barriers to student mobility and encourage lifelong learning.
- Gain information on horizontal and vertical transitions between different education levels.
- Access a comprehensive list of program information, competencies, and course outcomes at Bezmialem Foundation University, helping learners, supporting them, and clarifying all educational opportunities available to them.
